It lets them get a better idea of who you are. So avoid posting pictures of you partying or anything that may give off a bad impression. Keep your social media accounts as professional as possible. Keep it updated with pictures, and videos of your weight lifting. If you earn any new accomplishments fill your timeline with them. If you plan on sending them an email with say a video of your weight lifting, be sure to send a personalized email to each coach. Avoid sending one email with coaches cc’d on it. This will look lazy and make a lot of coaches move on to the next athlete who express more interest. Keep this in mind before you send of a mass email.
Once a coach reaches out do not put it on the back burner. Respond to all messages from them as soon as possible. Neglecting to keep the communication at a consistent pace, might give off a bad impression. The coach may think you’re not that interested, and they’ll move on to the next student.
